Abuja Business and Excellence Awards 2019 has come and gone but its impact still lingers for participants and major players in the economic industry in Abuja where some of the most outstanding brands emerged winners. The event was hosted on Tuesday, 17th December, 2019 at the National Merit House, Maitama, Abuja where guests arrived 1 hour before the official time of 6:00 pm when the event was to start. The event was preceded with a red carpet and interviews with dignitaries and guests at the event which include Elder Sunny Moniedafe who represented the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), Hon. Essiet represented the Chairman Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Kola Taliat Talent who represented the Post Master General NIPOST and other dignitaries. Mr Simon Tuleh, the Managing Director of Dapines Global Investors Ltd expressed excitement at the overwhelming attendance of dignitaries and guests who expressed their thrill at the efforts of the organizers.
At the event about 10 companies emerged award recipients in various categories including Transcorp Hotels Abuja as "Most Outstanding Hotel of the Year, Cosgrove Investment Limited as "Most Outstanding Brand in Real for the Year", Nigeria InfoFM Abuja as "Radio Station of the Year", WeFM as "Most Politically and Economically Apt Radio Station of the Year", Binani Press Ltd as "Most Outstanding Printing Press of the year", Coscharis Motors as "Most Outstanding Automobile Dealer of the Year", Ashers Clothiers Ltd as "Most Outstanding Fashion Brand of the Year", Bolt (Taxify) as "Most Outstanding Inter-City Transportation Brand of the Year", Channels Television as "Most Outstanding Television Station of the Year", Alibert Furniture Ltd as "Most Outstanding Furniture Brand of the Year. Other special awards were also dedicated to Nigeria Police Force, Federal Roads Safety Corp, Standard Organization of Nigeria, National Agency for Food Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) and the founder Human Rights Radio, Dr Ahmed Isah.
Expressing optimism at the preparedness for a greater edition of the event next year, 2020, Barr Gerald Ekwunife, Head of Corporate Communications shared the plan in place to bring on board more partners, participants and industries.
Abuja Business and Excellence Awards 2020 is poised to be a headliner to reach some of the biggest brands and personalities nationwide.
