It took a lot of prayers and fasting for your mother and I to actualize our dream of taking the vows and walking the altar considering the challenges we both were confronted with; no biological parents alive to support or provide guidance at such a time. Our only hope was God and the teaching rendered to us at the church's Pre-Marital Class popularly known as PMC. With the support of dear facilitators and families who became mentors and role models we garnered the strength and courage to dare this difficulty.
The journey with your mother and I began on the 12th April 2016 as we took the vow to commit to each other in witness of thousands of people including friends, brothers, sisters, pastors and well wishers. The love we experienced truly confirmed that we were headed for a journey that is worthwhile and indeed had God's backing.
The anticipation of your conception was overwhelming that I would tease your mother at any sneeze, headache or flu. Friends said I was being to excited and over anticipatory so as not to raise my hopes except that not up to three months after Doctors confirmed your conception about 7 weeks old.
From the time of conception till delivery you never ceased to give us joy each day making our lives better and challenging us to aspire for much more than our minds could have.
On the fourth day of your delivery your were diagnosed with acute jaundice leading to an immediate EXCHANGE BLOOD TRANSFUSION keeping your mother and I up till 12 midnight when your surgery took place. Doctors report said you would have died if we brought a week late. It took four doctors and a consultant to convince us that we sign for you to undergo this process.
Today marks 1 year 11 months 26 days since you went into that theater and came out successfully. You have shown truly that God's love is your banner and shield so I pray that your life will never be contrary to this. May the world celebrate you not for what you have accomplished but the works that God has wrought through you.
You shall be called blessed in all the earth.
You shall be celebrate for the mark you will that will influence generations.
You shall grow, wax strong and become great.
You shall never lack godly wisdom.
You shall excel in every good work.
I and your mother are proud of such great promises the Lord has sent ahead into your future and are without doubt you will fulfill them all.
No amount of love shall we love you that shall be compared to God's love.
He will never leave you or forsake you.
